Diallo has been tipped to do big things for United
He has has already caught the eye with some superb performances for the Under-23s, having scored twice – including a cheeky Panenka penalty – in a 5-3 win over Liverpool and then dazzling with three assists and a goal in last week’s victory against Blackburn.
And the 18-year-old has been rewarded by being picked by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for the matchday squad at Old Trafford on Tuesday night, where he will start on the bench in their FA Cup fifth round tie with West Ham – which is live on talkSPORT.
United are looking to bounce back from a damaging 3-3 draw against Everton on Saturday which put a major dent in their hopes of sustaining winning the title.
Solskjaer waxed lyrical about Diallo’s qualities on the ball last month.
He said:. “He is good at finding space, he can go inside and outside and he will get the time to prove that he is the one.
“Along the way we have got Mason, Marcus [Rashford], Daniel [James], Juan [Mata] and Paul [Pogba] has played there, so we have options but I think when you look at the squad and you look at Amad and you think, yeah, that’s probably where we will work to fit you in.”
