Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have praised Erik Lamela on Twitter for his performance against West Bromwich Albion at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium today.

Lamela, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, started for Tottenham in their Premier League game against West Brom at home this afternoon.

The Argentina international had a good game, as he looked very lively and creative and worked hard for the team.

According to WhoScored, the 28-year-old took one shot which was not on target, played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 87.8%, took 63 touches, attempted one dribble, made three tackles, and put in seven crosses.

Spurs won the match 2-0, thanks to goals from Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, and maintained their chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League table this season.

Some Tottenham fans were impressed by the performance of Lamela against West Brom and have praised him on Twitter, as shown below.

Tottenham legend Glenn Hoddle was on co-commentary duty for the match on BT Sports, and he spoke highly of Lamela.

Hoddle said on BT Sport 1 (February 7, 2021) about Lamela in the 74th minute of the match when he was being substituted: “I thought he had a really good game. It’s the best I have seen him play for some time.”
