LeBron James approves of Anthony Davis going with Kareem-esque look

It’s not just the fact that the Los Angeles Lakers are ranked No. 1 in the Western Conference that has fans and even members of the team thinking back to the days of Showtime. The latest poke in the eye and Anthony Davis sporting some sports glasses on the court during practice on Wednesday has many making the comparison to Lakers legend and the NBA’s All-Time leading scorer, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

LeBron James later reposted photos of Davis, calling him Anthony Jabbar-Davis. And while Dwight Howard voiced some awful opinions when it comes to vaccinations, we’re gonna have to go with his suggestion of calling Davis “Anthony Alcindor” because that just rolls off the tongue better.

The parallels to Kareem started almost immediately when it became known that Davis wanted to be traded from New Orleans. And like Kareem, he found himself in Los Angeles. Lakers fans are hoping that the rest of the history that followed happens again with him and LeBron James together like it did with Kareem and Magic Johnson.
