This Was Late Disney Star Cameron Boyce’s Final Project

Cameron Boyce grew to fame with Disney, but his talent didn’t limit him to only tween TV shows and films.
When Cameron Boyce passed away in 2019, fans were devastated. Shortly after, Cameron’s family explained that the actor had epilepsy, and complications were behind his untimely passing. While all of Disney mourned him, fans lamented the end of a too-short life and all the things that Cameron was planning to do.
The actor was very involved in philanthropic causes, raising funds and participating in projects from helping communities obtain clean water to fighting against violence due to firearms. His final charity project was called Wielding Peace, and aimed to bring about unity in the argument over gun safety.
But there were other projects in the works, too, as Boyce’s career as a Disney heartthrob evolved. One of his last works was Disney’s ‘Descendants 3,’ which was released shortly after his passing.
Disney included a heartfelt tribute to the actor during and following the movies, but fans wondered: what else did Cameron leave behind?

Other stars from the show were branching out, too, with China Anne McClain singing with her sisters and Dove Cameron heading back to the theater, among other projects. And Cameron’s work went beyond ‘Jessie’ and voice work on cartoons like ‘Jake and the Neverland Pirates.’
In fact, the 20-year-old actor had a handful of projects in the works when he passed away. One of them was a posthumous release in 2019, Cameron’s role as Zach on the series ‘Mrs. Fletcher.’ The entire first season was filmed, but no word on whether it will somehow be revised for subsequent seasons.
It’s worth noting that the comedy was nothing new for Boyce, but it was an HBO series, which meant a bit of a break from the bubblegum-style of Disney comedy.
That’s not to say Cameron didn’t still have plenty of fun with his projects. Dance remained a big part of his life, and one of his last Instagram videos featured choreography for an upcoming song by Hozier.
But as Deadline recapped, Boyce had other projects that were filmed right before his passing, too. He completed the film ‘Runt,’ which was released in 2020. But ‘Paradise City,’ seemingly the star’s final project, is a six-episode series that was awaiting a distributor as of 2020.
Now, rumor has it the series will be available for streaming in March of 2021, per Loudwire. But the trailer reveals that not only is Cameron Boyce a staple on the series, but so is fellow Disney alum, Bella Thorne. Not to mention, the somehow lesser-known Booboo Stewart, Boyce’s BFF in ‘Descendants.’
While this is the last formal project that fans can expect from the late star, his legacy will clearly live on; not only was Cameron an amazing person, but his talents seeped into many other projects — from choreography to acting and more — that will continue to inspire.
