Tottenham flop Tanguy Ndombele could be set for a fresh start in Italy.

Just over a year after the 23-year-old became Tottenham’s record signing, the Premier League club is prepared to move on from Ndombele this summer and is in talks to sell him to Inter, reports Fabrizio Romano and Ed Aarons of The Guardian.

Ndombele joined Spurs from Lyon in July 2019 for a club-record fee of £55 million. But the French international, who was targeted by former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino last summer, fell out of favor with Jose Mourinho shortly after the club appointed the Portuguese manager in November.

Now it appears that his future lies elsewhere, as The Guardian reports that Tottenham are willing to accept a reduced fee of £45 million (€50 million) for Ndombele, who started just 12 Premier League games last season.

The Italian club reportedly isn’t prepared to pay that much, but the two sides could discuss a swap deal involving Ndombele and Inter defender Milan Skriniar, Romano and Aarons report.

Ivan Perisic is another player the Spurs might target in a swap deal. However, Bayern Munich are currently the favorites to sign the Inter winger, who spent last season on loan with the Bundesliga champions.

The two teams seemingly have a good relationship after completing a deal in January that saw Christian Eriksen join Inter.
