Some Liverpool fans react to Nathaniel Phillips display against West Ham

Some Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Nathaniel Phillips against West Ham United on Sunday evening.

Phillips was in action for Liverpool in their Premier League game against West Ham away from home at the London Stadium.

The 23-year-old central defender started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Jurgen Klopp’s side won 3-1.

The English central defender started the match in the absence of the injured Fabinho, and he produced a wonderful performance.

Phillips looked strong and comfortable in defence, played out well from the back, and did not seem to be fazed by anything.

According to WhoScored, Phillips had a pass accuracy of 84.2%, won four headers, took 84 touches, attempted one dribble, and made one tackle and four clearances.

Liverpool have had lots of problems defensively this season. Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are long-term concerns, while Joel Matip has also been missing, but in Phillips the Reds could have a rising star.
