It was not necessary for a European Union member state to show “exceptional circumstances” in order to deport a third-country national parent or carer of an EU citizen child or dependant under the “threat to public policy or public security” exception to the principle of EU law that such a parent or carer was entitled to a right of residence in the EU if her expulsion would require her EU citizen child or dependant to leave the EU.
