Is André 3000’s Son, Seven Sirius Benjamin Following In His Dad’s Footsteps?

The father and son don’t just share looks, they share the same love of hip hop.

How rare would it be if a child of a celebrity followed in their parent’s footsteps? Not rare at all, we know that for sure. What’s rare is if that child has their own career without living in their parent’s shadows.

Not all celebrities want to make little celebrities, but Andre 3000 from the famous hip hop group OutKast, did a great job producing his own mini-me who can take on the family business if he chooses to.

His son Seven Sirius Benjamin could be on his way to make some great music just like his dad, but he might be interested in something other than music.

People On The Internet Think Seven Could Be Andre’s Twin

In 1997, Andre welcomed his son with then partner, R&B singer Erykah Badu. As Seven started to grow up, fans started to realize just how much he looks like his father. Even though Andre and Badu’s relationship ended in 1999, they remained amicable and co-parented Seven.

Now Seven is 22 years old and looks even more like his dad, and people on the internet can’t get enough of it. Badu posted a video of her and her son in the car in 2019 and fans were quick to see the resemblance between father and son.

Seven lives a relatively private life, but he is often featured on his mother’s social media. She posted another video of Seven studying with her daughter Mars and revealed that Seven is going to college for botany. When he comes home he helps homeschool his younger sister.

Unfortunately, Seven doesn’t have his own social media, but at least we get to see him on his mother’s. It’s good to see that he has a very strong relationship with both of his parents.

Badu told Majic 107.5, “[We’re] very dedicated parents. From the day I got pregnant, we decided we would make this human being that we brought into this world together. It’s really natural for him to be here [in Dallas]. I think it’s somewhat of a sacrifice for him. We don’t take it for granted. You know, I didn’t grow up with a father, a lot of my cohorts didn’t grow up with a father. I think that it’s natural for fathers to take that much of an initiative to be in their child’s life.”

Seven’s First Priority Isn’t Music But He Has Lyrical Talent

Just because  Seven is attending college doesn’t mean he can’t dabble in music whenever he’s with dad.

Andre hinted that his son is great with lyrics during a surprise visit to Kid Kraddick In The Morning. “He can actually rap. But he don’t want people to know he can rap. He’s actually good,” Andre revealed.

The rapper said he tried to give his son advice about rapping as well.

“Just put it out,” Andre said. “If people like it then people like it and you can reveal at anytime you want. He might already have songs out that y’all listen to that you don’t even know about.”

Andre also said that Seven helps him find new music. “My kid, he turns me on to everybody new. I listen to what he listens to riding to school,” he said.

We don’t quite know yet whether Seven will actually make a move into the hip hop world but it seems like he has his father’s talent. His sister Puma also seems to have their mother’s singing talent as well. She often appears on stage with Badu and has also recruited her brother in Tik Tok videos.

Puma posted a video of them dancing to the Say So Challenge.

Someone on Twitter wrote, “They LITERALLY stole 3000 and Badu’s faces,” while another wrote, “this is crazy. it’s literally like looking at badu and three stacks. genes crraaaaazy.”

Maybe they should form a group? Puma’s already got the experience and Seven has the lyrical talent. We can sit here forever and pray.
