Henry ‘Hammerin’ Hank’ Aaron: Tribute to Mobile’s homegrown baseball legend
Hank Aaron #HankAaron
This is an opinion tribute cartoon.
The world knew him as Hammerin’ Hank the Home Run King who broke Babe Ruth’s record. In Mobile, where he was born and raised, he was Henry Aaron, one of the greatest baseball players to ever play the game. And one of the most dignified.
Baseball icon Hank Aaron dead at 86
Hank Aaron’s fame stretched worldwide, but he was always Mobile’s homegrown legend
Maybe it took Barry Bonds to break his record of 755 home runs (with a steroid era asterisk?) for Aaron to finally get the respect he deserved all along.
You consistently left it all out on the field with patience, humility and grace, Henry Aaron.
Rest in power.
