KALAMAZOO, MI – January football in the state of Michigan is usually reserved for college bowl games and the closing weeks of the NFL season.

But in a year unlike any other, the 72 of the state’s high school squads are taking the field for Round 4 of the playoffs after a 56-day layoff amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Among those are four Kalamazoo-area teams, with Constantine, Schoolcraft and Centreville vying for regional titles, while Martin is in its first 8-player state semifinal in program history.

Spectators are limited to 125 people per team, and if you’re not able to attend in-person follow Kalamazoo Gazette/MLive reporter Patrick Nothaft for Twitter updates on the Schoolcraft and Centreville games, and Jackson Citizen Patriot/MLive reporter Josh VanDyke for Constantine updates.

Below are kickoff times for the four Kalamazoo-area matchups, as well as helpful links about the game.

Division 6: Constantine (8-1) vs. Michigan Center (6-1), 2 p.m. at Richland Gull Lake

Division 7: Schoolcraft (8-1) vs. Jackson Lumen Christi (5-4), 11 a.m. at Portage Central

Division 8: Centreville (8-0) vs. Sand Creek (8-1), 4:30 p.m. at Portage Central
