After being closed for three months due to lockdown, Nando’s reopened its Liverpool One, Bolton Middlebrook, Birmingham Bullring, Leeds J27, Manchester Trafford Centre, Westfield London, Bromley St Marks, Beckton, Park Royal, and Bluewater Winter Garden earlier this month.

Only a certain number of customers are allowed in each restaurant at any time – depending on its size and layout – with fewer tables in each site.

As a safety measure, the chain have introduced a new table service style of virtually queuing, with customers allotted a virtual slot in the queue on the Nando’s app.

They will be alerted when their table is ready via a text message or notification within the app.

Hungry diners will then be asked to order and pay their table using their phone.

Meanwhile staff will also bring all food, drinks, cutlery, PERi-PERi sauces and napkins directly to the table.

Nando’s said there is PPE available to staff to wear and they have also been encouraged to wash their hands more regularly.
