The FBI is seeking information that will help them to identify members of the pro-Trump mob that stormed the US Capitol on Wednesday in Washington, D.C.

The agency said it wanted to identify individuals “who are actively instigating violence.”

The agency said it was seeking “tips and digital media depicting rioting and violence in the U.S. Capitol Building and surrounding area.”

“If you have witnessed unlawful violent actions, we urge you to submit any information, photos, or videos that could be relevant at fbi.gov/USCapitol,” the agency said Wednesday in a statement.

“Our goal is to preserve the public’s constitutional right to protest by protecting everyone from violence and other criminal activity,” the agency said in a statement.

The agency also invited people to call ‪1-800-CALL-FBI (1-‪800-225-5324) to verbally report tips and/or other information. It also said people could provide tips at tips.fbi.gov.

Dozens of charges are expected in Washington’s local and federal courts, including as many as 15 federal cases against people who are believed to be involved in the more serious alleged crimes, law enforcement officials told CNN.

The agency followed up its Wednesday statement with posts on Twitter and Facebook Thursday morning again seeking information.
