Gary Anderson hammered Dirk van Duijvenbode 5-1 in the PDC World Darts Championship quarter-finals with a superb display, but warned his rivals that he would only rate the performance three out of 10.
The Flying Scotsman lost the opening set but then won the next five, averaging 101.07 against the Dutchman who had no answer to his brilliance.
Sometimes criticised for his finishing, Anderson checked out at 50% on the outer ring in a display that proved he is getting back to his very best after injury and loss in form that has seen him drop to number 13 in the world.
The two-time world champion was pleased enough with his performance, but when asked how he rated it, he was very harsh on himself, promising much more to come yet.

‘That was good,’ Anderson told Sky Sports. ‘180s are still not quite there but the 140s were, I felt like they were good tonight.
‘Not yet, not quite yet [back to his best]. It’s getting there, you know. I’m still playing with my jacket on, after the two years I’ve had. But it’s wake up time now.
‘Two, alright three [out of 10]. No, it was good, I might not look it, we’re up here to work, you don’t smile when you’re working but the 140s were coming good, I’m happy.’
It was Anderson’s best performance of the tournament so far and he feels he is growing into the event as the matches get longer.
‘Anyone will tell you, you play well all year and come to the first round of the World Championship, first to three is a cut throat business, anyone can win it,’ he said.
‘But as you go on it gets a bit longer and you’ve got time to settle, you can go a set or two down and you’re still in it.’
Anderson will take on either world number one Michael van Gerwen or Dave Chisnall in the last four and he would like to see the Englishman on the oche, rather than the Dutchman.
‘If I wasn’t to win this title I’d love to see Chizzy win it, he’s been on the go for years and he’s a phenomenal dart player,’ said the Scot.

‘He’s the one player that should win one of the big majors. He loves his darts and he’s always up there playing it.’
Also making the semi-finals, and also turning in an excellent display, was Stephen Bunting, who has proved to be the surprise package of the tournament.
The Bullet downed Krzysztof Ratajski 5-3, averaging 101.01 in an excellent contest with the Pole.
The former BDO world champion is into the final four at the PDC World Championship for the first time and believes he can get his hands on a second world title ahead of a semi-final against either Gerwyn Price or Daryl Gurney.
‘I’m coming in quiet under the radar, I’ll be the outsider again,’ said Bunting.

‘Listen, I’m there to win this. They’re great players in their own right but I can rewrite history here. I can win this, I know I’m good enough.’
The quarter-finals are completed on Friday evening before the semi-finals playing out on Saturday.
