Tony Pulis sacked by Sheffield Wednesday after 45 days and ten games

Sheffield Wednesday have sacked Tony Pulis only 45 days after they appointed him as manager.
Pulis, 62, replaced Garry Monk last month but managed to secure only one win, against Coventry City, in ten games, and he leaves Wednesday second from bottom of the Sky Bet Championship, three points from safety.
It is understood his relationship with Dejphon Chansiri, the owner, became strained shortly after he took charge and he was unhappy with how certain aspects of the club were being run.
The Times understands Pulis offered to resign last week, on December 20, only for the club to ask him to stay for the Blackburn Rovers game, which Wednesday drew 1-1. Two days later, Wednesday have suddenly announced Pulis’s dismissal.
