An ecstatic Bruno Fernandes could not hide his delight at the King Power stadium on Boxing Day, after pulling off a creative assist for Marcus Rashford to open the scoring.
Pitchside cameras captured a unique perspective of the team celebration, which was broadcast with perfect sound quality given the absence of supporters.
Portuguese ace Fernandes threw himself to the floor inside the Leicester area in order to get a deft touch on the ball and toe-poke it into the path of the unmarked Rashford, who finished with one strike.

Manchester United’s No.10 did the rest of the work and slotted home to put his side 1-0 ahead in the tie, and Fernandes allowed the excitement to spill in the immediate aftermath.

Seconds later however Fernandes could be seen hurrying to the corner, jumping on his team-mate while excitedly asking: ‘Did you see my assist? Did you see?’

The situation was soon made all the more comical by fellow midfielder Fred, who quickly joined the celebration and with a beaming smile appeared to tell Fernandes, in Portuguese, that his poked assist ‘was s***.’
Fernandes’ excitement is understandable however, given the 26-year-old recently admitted he is seeking to finish the season with statistics which read more goals and more assists than his actual tally of appearances.
Speaking to MUTV ahead of United’s recent Carabao Cup quarter-final victory over Everton, Fernandes had outlined: ‘I think, as I’ve said before, it’s easy when you play in a team like Manchester because there are so many good players around you.
‘They help you to be better and I am here to help them be better. So I think, of course, numbers are really good but it is now that I need to start to improve.

‘It will be more difficult from now and I mean difficult day-by-day and game-by-game because the players will know me better.
‘Of course, I am really happy to have these numbers and, obviously, it is not easy to get to this point with these numbers but I want to do better and better, more and more.
‘I want to finish the Premier League this season with more goals and assists than games. That would be good,’ he added.
Fernandes went on to grab a goal himself in the match and further heighten his chances of achieving his aims this season, though United could only settle for a share of the spoils in a 2-2 stalemate.
