Columbus Weather: Cloudy but dry/warm Wednesday ahead; rain is on the way tomorrow

COLUMBUS, OH (WSYX) — Good Wednesday morning! Another 70 day possible today! We are starting off with temps in the low-mid 40s and partly cloudy skies.
We will have a light breeze out of the southwest today and that will warm us up quickly to a high around 71 today. The record high today is 78, set in 1990. Mostly cloudy tonight with some scattered rain possible after midnight and a low temp around 50. A couple waves of scattered rain possible tomorrow including a couple strong to severe storms possible later in the day. We will try to warm up to a high around 70 between the rain tomorrow. A cold front will swing through Thursday night and early Friday. Lingering rain and showers on Friday with a morning low of 56 and only a high of 61. Mostly cloudy on Friday with the rain moving to the east through the day, so our chance of rain will be best for the first half of the day then the chance of rain will be dropping.
Cool and dry start to the weekend with partly cloudy skies on Saturday with a morning low temp around 38 then a high temp around 56. Sunday will be mostly cloudy and another weak cold front will bring very light rain showers or sprinkles. Morning low around 42 then a high of 52 for Sunday.
Another weak disturbance will swing through on Monday and it will be chilly. We start Monday with a low temp around 32 then a high temp around 42.
