Chilly Monday morning with sun & seasonal 60s this afternoon

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Good Monday morning. Clear skies and chilly temperatures in the 30s will start off our work and school week, winter coats or heavier jackets will be a good idea when heading out the door.

Areas of patchy frost can be expected this morning and a Freeze Warning is in effect for all counties through 9AM. Today will bring ample sunshine and fairly calm conditions to the Tennessee Valley, high temperatures will be seasonal in the low to middle 60s. Expect another clear and calm night tonight with some more patchy frost expected, lows will be chilly in the low to middle 30s by daybreak Tuesday.

Tuesday is going to start our warming trend with more sunshine and highs topping out in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Wednesday looks to be the best day of the week with mostly sunny skies and high temperatures in the middle 70s! Humidity levels will be on the rise by Thursday with more clouds moving in through the day, rain showers and isolated storms will develop late into the evening. Periods of heavier rainfall and scattered storms are in the forecast for Friday, rainfall totals in some communities may exceed one inch.

The weekend is trending a bit cooler with temps staying in the 60s, scattered rain showers and storms will be possible for both Saturday and Sunday.
