Tomas Hertl trade grades: Who won the Golden Knights and Sharks deal?
Hertl #Hertl
I thought the Golden Knights were done when they picked up Anthony Mantha and Noah Hanifin. That seemed like plenty for a team that’s still contending.
But nope! Hertl has missed time this year after minor knee surgery, yet he had 34 points in 48 games. He’s a depth piece on a team with so much depth — he can fit in anywhere and can continue to pile up points, maybe on the team’s second or third line.
AND THEN! They got TWO third-rounders for their troubles after trading their top prospect in Edstrom and a first-round pick. That’s kind of jaw-dropping and tipped the scales heavily in their favor. Good work here.
