Luis Diaz’s dad continues to be an Anfield icon.
The Colombian has been a permanent fixture at Liverpool’s home games since October, and it was no different against Luton Town.

Seen in one of the club’s boxes for the 4-1 win over the Hatters, the camera panned to Luis Manuel when his son made it 3-1 and finished off Luton’s chances.
Not only was the elder Diaz wearing a Reds shirt like his son, but it was also short-sleeved and he hilariously had gloves on too for the ten degree temperatures on Merseyside.
A number of fans noticed the matching outfits, with one X user writing: “Luis Díaz dad is killing me, why he got short sleeves and gloves on like he’s playing,” while another added: “Luis Diaz’s dad kitted and wearing gloves up in the exec box has done me.”
The scenes will warm the hearts of many, with the Diaz family going through a terrifying end to 2023.
Both Luis Manuel and his wife were kidnapped in October, with the latter released soon after.
Luis Manuel had to wait 13 days for his release, with his son sitting out games while the family dealt with the trauma.
Just over a week after the family were reunited, they were able to watch their son score twice for Colombia in an astonishing 2-1 victory over Brazil.
The family have been spending much of their time on Merseyside ever since, and in December Diaz senior was even seen in the away end celebrating Trent Alexander-Arnold’s equaliser against Manchester City at the Etihad.
