Temps dip below freezing overnight; Monday expected to be warmer

Good Monday #GoodMonday

(PINPOINT WEATHER) — Good evening and happy Sunday Funday! After a chilly but sunny Sunday, we are expecting another cold night across the Carolinas as temperatures dip down into the upper 20s. While we are in store for some cold mornings, we are also expecting a lot of sunshine and warming temperatures as we go throughout the week across the Carolinas. Rain chances look essentially zero until we get to Friday when some scattered showers are possible as part of a cold front. Down in Daytona, sunshine will finally return on Monday and the race should finally start on time at 4 p.m.

As for tonight and the start of the week, we are expecting mostly clear and chilly weather overnight as temperatures fall down into the upper 20s. Monday, after the cold start, we are expecting temperatures to rebound nicely up into the upper 50s to around the 60-degree mark. Overall, the upcoming week looks fairly fabulous across the region, with temperatures getting slightly warmer each day.

By the time we get to Thursday, our high temperatures should be pushing up into the mid to upper 60s ahead of our next potential cold front that will move through on Friday. There is the chance we could see some scattered showers, but don’t expect too much in the way of rain or a cooldown for the region.

In the meantime, make sure you have the jacket ready to go as you head out in the morning! Have a great week!
