BTS’ J-hope is celebrating his 30th birthday today (Sunday) and on the special day, the rapper made an exciting announcement. Last year, on Suga’s talk show Suchwita, J-Hope hinted at the release of a documentary titled ‘Hope On The Street.” Since then, fans have eagerly awaited its release, but details remained scarce—until now.
Surprising the fans of the singer on his birthday at midnight KST, BigHit Music released a teaser of the upcoming documentary, set to premiere in March. The announcement video featured J-Hope showcasing his moves in a super stylish outfit. The official BTS handle wrote, “ 2024. 03. COMING SOON.”
Fans on the internet were left surprised and excited after the big announcement. One of the fans commented, “So grateful for Hobi’s planning. He worked so hard to leave us so many gifts, before he left to serve his country. I can’t wait to see.” Another wrote, “Can’t wait for the release of HOPE ON THE STREET! Excited to see what J-Hope has in store for us in 2024.”
As fans await the release of the documentary, a few of them took a trip down the memory lane and recalled J-Hope’s previous documentary, “j-hope IN THE BOX,” released by HYBE Labels in 2023.
Ahead of his birthday, J-hope took to his Instagram handle and shared a selfie. He also shared pictures of his birthday posters across the city and wished his fans ‘Happy hope day.’
The BTS enlistment process began with Jin, the eldest member of the group, entering a military training centre near the North Korean border shortly after celebrating his 30th birthday. J-Hope and Suga enlisted a few months later, with RM, the group’s leader, and V following suit in December 2023. The final two members, Jimin and Jungkook, started their military service one day after RM and V.
