How to watch Sixers star Tyrese Maxey in All-Star skills challenge

Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Tyrese Maxey will participate in All-Star Saturday night in the skills challenge, and if you’re wondering how you can watch all the action live, you’ve come to the right place. Maxey will look to put on a show for Team All-Stars in the skills challenge.

On the season, Maxey is averaging 25.7 points, 6.4 assists and 3.7 rebounds while shooting 37.8% from deep. He looks to use all of the skills behind those numbers on Saturday night and have some fun while doing it.

The skills challenge is a part of the fun of All-Star Saturday night, which has undergone many format tweaks over the years. Maxey was a part of the challenge in 2022, but, in case one forgot, here’s how one can watch the skills challenge as well as the format for it:

Maxey is playing for Team All-Stars alongside Scottie Barnes and Trae Young. They will compete against Team Top Picks and Team Pacers. Team Top Picks consists of Paolo Banchero, Victor Wembanyama and Anthony Edwards while Team Pacers consists of Tyrese Haliburton, Bennedict Mathurin and Myles Turner.

Per CBS Sports, here is how the format will go:

The winning team in the first two rounds will receive “100 Challenge Points,” and the winning team in the third round, the shooting competition, will receive “200 Challenge Points.” At the conclusion of all three rounds, the team with the most points will be crowned champion. In the event of a tie, those two teams will compete in a halfcourt shooting contest, with the team that makes a shot from halfcourt in the least amount of time declared the winner.

There will be three rounds — Team Relay, Team Passing and Team Shooting — that challenge all contestants in different facets of the game.
