Wellness brand owner Dr Asif Munaf has become the latest candidate on The Apprentice to be fired.
Asif has made headlines recently after hitting out at the BBC, claiming ‘they did me dirty’ after the broadcaster dropped him from a spin-off show for making ‘a stream of anti-Jewish’ comments on social media.
And now the entrepreneur’s Apprentice journey has officially come to an end after he came under Lord Sugar’s firing line in the board room during Thursday’s episode.
Despite Asif pleading with Lord Sugar last week to be this week’s project manager, he failed to lead his team to victory.
‘Your claim of being a great leader hasn’t come to fruition in my view,’ exclaimed Lord Sugar, before he concluded: ‘Asif you are a poor poor manager, so it is with regret you are fired.’

Despite Asif pleading with Lord Sugar last week to be this week’s project manager, he failed to lead his team to victory
Week three saw the candidates immersed in the world of virtual escape rooms as Lord Sugar tasked them with creating a new game concept, before pitching to experts.
After two weeks of the girls sweeping the victory, Lord Sugar decided to switch up the teams as Tre, Paul and Steve headed to join the girls, while Maura, Amina, Onyeka and Sam were added to the boys.
While the girls team, renamed Nexus, opted for a medieval theme, the boys, now called Supream – a play on the words Supreme and Team – failed to identify a clear focus for their game Fallen Escape.
Securing the win once again Nexus were offered £170,000 for further developments, while Supream only managed to secure £55,000.
In their first meeting, Supream appeared to have settled on the idea of crash landing on a dessert island and having to overcome various obstacles in order to escape.
However in the branding team as Onyeka attempted to explain the plot of their game, her fellow teammates seemed rather confused as she listed a huge array of elements including bears, boats and petrol stations.
After pitching to the experts, one responded: ‘You do know that was bananas right, You did see that that was crazy right? It is meant to be surreal right?’
Shooting himself in the foot Asif replied: ‘It’s not meant to be surreal it’s meant to be realistic’, much to the dismay of the rest of the team.

Despite backing the project as a ‘masterpiece’ Asif was left in the firing line as he chose to bring Sam, Amina and Onyeka back into the boardroom with him
Later in the board room questions were also asked about the fact the game was called ‘Fallen Escape’ and yet there was no falling involved.
Despite backing the project as a ‘masterpiece’ Asif was left in the firing line as he chose to bring Sam, Amina and Onyeka back into the boardroom with him.
And while it looked as though Lord Sugar was tempted to fire Onyeka, his final decision meant Asif was forced to leave the process due to his poor leadership skills.
It comes after Asif hit out at the BBC, after the broadcaster dropped him from a spin-off show for making ‘a stream of anti-Jewish’ comments on social media.
Corporation bosses confirmed they have edited the former NHS doctor out of Thursday’s episode of The Apprentice: You’re Fired! on BBC2 amid a backlash over remarks he made online.
Dr Munaf – who now owns his own wellness brand – described Zionism as a ‘satanic cult’ in the aftermath of the October 7 terror attack.
He also wrote on social media that he was compiling a ‘list of sadistic doctors’ who were ‘supporting the Zionist genocide’ and described Zionists as ‘odiously ogre-like’, also labelling the ‘Zionist PR machine’ as ‘slimy’.
The contestant made his feelings clear in a series of tweets, warning it would only ignite a ‘bigger flame’
And speaking out today, the contestant made his feelings clear in a series of tweets, warning it would only ignite a ‘bigger flame’.
He wrote on X: ‘They did me dirty. The lobby pressured the broadcaster and they relented. This will only ignite a bigger flame in my belly. We have Him ☝’
He added in a post a few minutes later: ‘They called for me to be cut out the broadcaster and suspended my the regulator.
‘Today me journey on the show ended. But my journey with Him is still ongoing.
‘Never sell your faith for fame. Always keep speaking the truth. Especially in the midst of genocide.’
The doctor went on to argue against ‘the Zionists’ saying that ever since his announcement on the show, they have tried to ‘demonise’ him.
The comments caused outrage across the Jewish community, with the Board of Deputies of British Jews complaining to Tim Davie, the BBC director-general and Samir Shah, its chairman, about having Dr Munaf on the show.
And though it appears Dr Munaf won’t be edited out of The Apprentice for the time-being, the BBC confirmed today he would not feature on their future shows.
‘We can confirm that the individual concerned will not feature as a guest on any additional upcoming BBC content relating to The Apprentice’, a BBC spokesman told MailOnline today.
The Board of Deputies of British Jews also issued a statement, saying they believed the Jewish community were owed an apology from the BBC.
They wrote: ‘Following the Board of Deputies President’s urgent letter to the BBC Director-General Tim Davie and the BBC Chairman this morning, we have been notified that the BBC has significantly edited all content relating to BBC 2’s You’re Fired concerning Asif Munaf.
‘We hope that the BBC will apologise publicly to the Jewish community for their handling of this sorry situation and send the people responsible for antisemitism awareness training.’
