East Texas (KLTV/KTRE) – Here is a look at the weather where you live: Good morning, East Texas! It may be chilly today, but temperatures are certainly trending a decent bit warmer than this time yesterday! Still, with overnight lows in the 40s to near 50 degrees, you and the kiddos will probably want the jackets for the morning hours. Thankfully, we’re set for yet another big warm up today with most East Texans hitting 70° or warmer for highs! We will remain dry all day today but expect a bit more cloud cover throughout the day, with mostly cloudy skies by this evening. Our dry streak will end on Friday as a few scattered showers will be possible for areas south of I-20 through the morning and early afternoon. Our next strong cold front will begin to push through our northern zones by the late afternoon, leading to a second round of scattered showers and maybe an isolated thundershower or two Friday night. Rain ends for most well before sunrise Saturday morning and temperatures will trend MUCH cooler. Highs on Saturday will range from the upper 40s to the lower 50s with some breezy and chilly northerly winds. Upper 20s and lower 30s will be likely on Sunday morning before we warm back into the middle to upper 50s in the afternoon. Temperatures are expected to slingshot their way back into the lower 70s by next Tuesday, so if you’re not a big fan of the cold, you won’t have to wait too long for another spring preview.
