James Craig drops out of U.S. Senate race, reports say

LANSING, MI – Former Detroit Police Chief James Craig is dropping out of his bid to fill Michigan’s open U.S. Senate seat.
Craig, a Republican, told The Associated Press of his decision on Tuesday, Feb. 13 and that he is “strongly considering” running in Detroit’s mayoral election next year.
