Unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen were on Saturday drawn to play second division side Fortuna Düsseldorf in the semi-finals of the German Cup.

In the other semi-final, second division team Kaiserslautern will face the winner of the quarter-final between Saarbrücken and Mönchengladbach, which had been scheduled for Wednesday but was postponed to March 12 due to a water-logged pitch.

The draw come shortly after Leverkusen beat Bayern Munich 3-0 to go five points clear of them at the top of the Bundesliga. Xabi Alonso’s team is unbeaten in all 31 season games in all competitions and seeking first silverware since a lone German Cup win in 1993.

The semi-finals are scheduled for April 2 and 3, and the final is due to be contested at Berlin’s Olympiastadion on May 25.
