The American has sold more than 65 million albums worldwide and will headline the half-time show for the first time in his career.
But this won’t be his first appearance at the NFL’s showpiece event because he was one of the Black Eyed Peas’ special guests in 2011.
And he is delighted to get the chance to headline.
In a statement in September 2023, he said: “It’s an honour of a lifetime to finally check a Super Bowl performance off my bucket list.
“I can’t wait to bring the world a show unlike anything else they’ve seen from me before. Thank you to the fans and everyone who made this opportunity happen. I’ll see you real soon.”

Three years after it was first performed at a Super Bowl game by Alicia Keys, Lift Every Voice and Sing will be sung before kickoff.
The hymn, which holds historical significance to many African Americans, was written by two brothers in response to the Jim Crow laws that enforced racial segregation in the southern states of America until 1965.
The song has become known as ‘the Black National Anthem’ and will be performed this year by Andra Day.
