Ex-Neighbours star Holly Valance revealed herself as a supporter of the Tory right as she took aim at “c*** lefties”.
The former pop star, 40, also praised Liz Truss, backed Jacob Rees-Mogg for prime minister and branded Lee Anderson as “very sensible”.
She was speaking as she attended the launch of the new Popular Conservatism movement in central London yesterday.
Valance said: “Everyone starts off as a leftie and then wakes up at some point after you start either making money, working, trying to run a business, trying to buy a home, and then realise what crap ideas they all are – and then you go to the right.
“The speakers today were fantastic. I thought Liz was actually really, really interesting to listen to. Jacob for PM.
“The MP for Ashfield was awesome, love a northerner, straight to the point and very sensible.”
Valance attended the event with her property tycoon husband Nick Candy.
The group has been launched by allies of former prime minister Ms Truss in a bid to push for right-wing Tory policies such as cutting taxes, cracking down on immigration and leaving the European Convention on Human Rights.
Speaking at the rally, Ms Truss hit out at Rishi Sunak’s Government for failing to take on “left-wing extremists”.
She said the new faction – dubbed the PopCons – must galvanise Britain’s many “secret” Tories.
In his speech, former Cabinet minister Sir Jacob declared that the “age of Davos man is over”.
And ex-Tory deputy chairman Lee Anderson argued that Britons do not care about the net zero strategy.
