Alison Hammond defended after cruel comments over Michael McIntyre appearance

Alison Hammond has been defended by fans following taunting “jealous” comments about her appearance on Michael McIntyre’s Big Show.

The popular This Morning star faced uproarious comedy as the comedian surprised her in bed as part of an ‘Unexpected Star of the Show’ segment after her son called the programme up to give her a late-night surprise.

The hilarity escalated when her buddy Rusty Lee joined in, leaving BBC viewers laughing hard at home.

But things took an even wilder turn when she was asked to guess who was under the sheets with her after a divider was placed in her bed, only to find out it was Jason Donovan.

Some unkind viewers criticised how Alison seemed to be “everywhere” on TV, with one particularly brutal comment reading: “Ugh I see Alison overused Hammond is on this b***dy show tonight, she’s like Japanese knotweed.”
