The Suicide Squad Game Won’t Be the Last Time You Hear Kevin Conroy’s Batman

Conroy #Conroy

It’s been over a year since we lost legendary voice actor Kevin Conroy, but his most famous role will live on a little bit longer. The man who voiced Batman in Batman: The Animated Seriesand beyond passed in 2022, leading many to wonder what would be the the final time we’d hear him voicing the Caped Crusader. Rocksteady’s upcoming video game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League seemed like the obvious answer, but that may not actually be the case.

IGN reports that while Conroy’s voice is a part of the Suicide Squad game, it will not be the last time we hear it. (Which is a blessing on multiple levels, considering the title of the game.) Conroy also lent his voice to the upcoming Prime Video animated series Batman: Caped Crusader, by J.J. Abrams, Bruce Timm, and Matt Reeves, though it’s not clear if he’s voicing Batman in that or someone else.

Then, Conroy’s Batman will also appear in the animated film Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths – Part Three, the final film in the planned home video trilogy that just kicked off earlier this year with Part One. In that film, Conroy will specifically be voicing his original Batman/Bruce Wayne from Batman: The Animated Series—which feels like a massive spoiler, but also potentially the perfect send-off to the iconic character.

So while we have yet to get over losing such a titan in the comic book film and TV space, it’s comforting to know that a violent video game where he’s not the main character is unlikely to be the end. There’s more to look forward to.
