Adelaide Strikers captain Matt Short says he is pleased to see the back of Perth Scorchers master blaster Laurie Evans, but threw his support behind the Englishman’s calls for the season to be shortened.

Evans urged Big Bash League officials condense the season’s timeframe, now that the number of games has been cut back, to allow imports to stay and play finals.
