Panic in Liverpool city centre after three people left lying in blood

    Disturbing video on social media shows bodies lying on the pavement with one man covered in blood as a woman shouts ‘don’t touch his neck’.  

    The incident took place on the pavement outside the Shankly Hotel on Victoria Street in Liverpool city centre earlier this evening.

    Merseyside Police said two men, both aged 22, are being treated for serious head injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening. 

    A 19-year-old man from Roby and a 32-year-old man from St Helens have been arrested on suspicion of affray and taken into custody to be interviewed.

    Police added that no one had been stabbed during the incident.
