Love Island’s Anton Danyluk reveals REAL reason behind his ‘terrible’ changing face amid plastic surgery rumours

LOVE Island star Anton Danyluk has explained the truth about why his face dramatically changed following his first appearance in the villa. 

Anton, 29, was accused by fans of having cosmetic surgery in 2021 and even admits himself that he “looked terrible”.

But speaking to The Sun before he made his return to Love Island for the All Stars series, Anton had a solid explanation.  

The Scots-born gym owner quashed rumours of plastic surgery and says his change in appearance was due to a new hobby – bodybuilding.

Anton said: “So what the difference was, was 26kg of weight. 26 kilograms (4st). I got into the bodybuilding world. 

“I did a bulk and I knew as soon as I started bulking people would say I looked different and things about the way I looked.

“It took me two years to mentally prepare myself and I built up to 105kg (16.5st).

“And yeah, I looked drastically different. I knew l did look different but I still had to hear it from everyone every day. 

“What was the most annoying thing, was that they were questioning if I’d had work done to my face.”

Anton added: “To be honest, I absolutely agree with what everyone was saying by the way. 

“I looked terrible. I look back at photos of myself and think, ‘Why did I do that?’ 

“But when I cut the weight, I knew I would look back to my old self. 

“When I lost 50lbs in 12 weeks, that was a big middle finger up to everyone who had said I’d had work done. 

“I feel I’ve shut everyone up now and don’t look a day older than when I first went in.”

Anton, who now weighs 13st (83kg), said he isn’t “concerned” about what other people think about him as he graces out screens this January.

Tonight, he makes his big entrance into the Love Island villa in South Africa, alongside 11 other former islanders.

He originally found fame in the fifth series of the ITV2 reality show in 2019 but failed to find lasting love.

Anton hooked up with makeup artist Belle Hassan and they were an item for just over a month after leaving the villa.

He is now hoping to find himself a new lady among the ex islanders.
