Tier 3 rules: How does it differ from Tier 2?

In Tier 2 areas, hospitality businesses are allowed to open, and people from the same household or support bubble can visit these premises.

However in Tier 3, hospitality businesses such as restaurants and pubs have to close, but can still offer takeaway, delivery and drive-through services in Tier 3. 

Indoor entertainment venues to have to close in Tier 3, but retail can remain open.

Personal care services, such as hairdressers, are also allowed to stay open in Tier 3 areas.

Schools, colleges, universities and early years settings can also remain open in Tier 3.

Accomodation such as hotels and bed and breakfasts have to close in Tier 3 with limited exceptions.
