Dallas Cowboys edge rusher Micah Parsons had some criticism for Cleveland Browns cornerback Martin Emerson Jr. after the Houston Texans took a 17-14 lead over the Browns on a 76-yard touchdown pass on Saturday.

After Texans tight end Brevin Jordan caught a short pass from CJ Stroud, Emerson missed a tackle that would have prevented the touchdown. Parsons took to social media to slam Emerson’s effort on the play.

“23 effort for a playoff game is unacceptable bro!” Parsons said. “Trust if ima lose i won’t show up on film like that!”

Parsons will be looking to give a better effort for the Cowboys on Sunday as they take on the Green Bay Packers in a wild-card matchup. As for Emerson and the Browns, they’re looking to get past the Texans on Saturday to reach the divisional round for the first time since 2020.

The Browns have been solid on defense this season, allowing just 164.7 passing yards per game, which is the best mark in the NFL. The 76-yard passing touchdown in the first quarter was a rare sight for the Browns, and Emerson will be looking to make up for the defensive lapse in the remainder of the game.

Emerson is playing in his first playoff game on Monday. The second-year player out of Mississippi State has notched 59 tackles and four interceptions this season.

Parsons knows a thing or two about putting in effort on defense. The third-year player out of Penn State has picked up 64 tackles and 14 sacks this season, which is tied for the seventh most sacks in the league this year.

He is looking to lead the Cowboys’ defense as they begin their quest for a Super Bowl on Sunday.
