Oregon’s Dan Lanning is the betting favorite to succeed legendary coach Nick Saban at Alabama.
Per SportsBetting.ag, Lanning, 37, is a 3/1 favorite to succeed Saban, who announced his retirement Wednesday at 72 after winning seven national championships, six at Alabama.
Lanning is 22-5 in two years with the Ducks and won the Fiesta Bowl over Liberty this past season.
Clemson coach Dabo Swinney, a former Alabama player and assistant coach, is next at 4/1, followed by Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin, a former offensive coordinator under Saban with the Crimson Tide, at 5/1.
Colorado’s Deion Sanders and Washington’s Kalen DeBoer, who guided his team to the CFP championship game, are at 6/1.
