  • LeBron James, Jayson Tatum, Jimmy Butler and more will headline a new ‘Quarterback’-style Netflix show which has begun taping, according to a new report.

Netflix’s ‘Quarterback’ series, which documented the lives of Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota on and off the field in its first season, became a massive hit when it was released last summer.

And the streaming giant is now attempting to replicate that success with the NBA, as The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported Tuesday.

According to Charania, the show will also feature Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards and the Kings’ Domantas Sabonis.

The show will reportedly be produced by James’ entertainment venture, SpringHill Company, Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground Productions and Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions – which also co-produced ‘Quarterback.’

Omaha is also known for its role in producing the Monday Night Football ‘Manningcast’ that Manning and his brother Eli star in weekly during the regular season.

The Wall Street Journal reported in October that SpringHill and Omaha were in discussions regarding the show.

SpringHill was involved in the ‘Space Jam’ sequel starring James, and produces the star’s popular talk show ‘The Shop’ for the star.

James’ Lakers have struggled this season after making a run to the Western Conference Finals last year, with LA just 19-19 and in 10th place thus far.

Tatum’s Celtics and Edwards’ Timberwolves, meanwhile, lead the East and West respectively.

Butler’s Heat and Sabonis’ Kings are both in fifth place.
