When Bringing Greyhound to Meet Santa Backfires in the ‘Worst’ Way Possible

Two dog owners’ excitement to take their fur baby to meet Santa Claus abruptly ended when their plan completely backfired.
The family made their way to PetSmart for the Christmas tradition of photos with Santa. The owners even dressed their rescue greyhound to the nines for this special opportunity. But, in the December 21 TikTok video, the dog stopped dead in her tracks.
The text on the video reads: “Everyone thinks they have the worst PetSmart Santa photos …” but that’s because other pet parents haven’t had the same experience as this family did.
Apparently, this dog was too excited and couldn’t hold it in.
As the greyhound was walking down the aisle, he had to stop, bend down, and well, you know the rest. The dad was completely shocked and embarrassed and tried to pull him, but the deed was done.
The video, which brought in over 4.1 million views and 497,700 likes, will have pet parents double-checking that their dogs are done with their business prior to meeting Santa.
If it makes these owners feel better, at least this happens to other dog parents as well.
“Mine jumped out of Santa’s lap and pooped. I was so embarrassed,” commented one viewer.
Another chimed in: “My dogs do this every time I take them to be washed it is so embarrassing, like why?”
Despite the accident, the dog was still able to get his Christmas photos with Santa. Although, the photos didn’t necessarily turn out the way they envisioned.
The owner noted that this “Santa was sketchy,” which other viewers pointed out since you could see his brown hair.
The greyhound looked like a toddler who was scared to get close to Santa. And, of course, the way Santa was holding the dog by the neck didn’t help either.
“The way your dog looks like it’s having a crisis” commented a viewer. The owner replied: “We both were.”
One person came to Santa’s defense and wrote: “I was also a PetSmart Santa. I feel so bad for the people I took pics with bc the beard was SOO BAD and would be like two inches away from my face.”
Guess the only way to get an authentic photo with Santa is to travel up to the North Pole!
