Joe Rogan Fact-Checked on His Own Show For Calling Biden Mentally ‘Done’ — Over Something Said By Trump
Joe Rogan #JoeRogan
Joe Rogan became the victim of a brutal fact-check on his own show when he went off on President Joe Biden’s apparent cognitive decline, citing a speech in which Biden was actually quoting former President Donald Trump.
During a conversation with his guest, MMA fighter Bo Nickal, Rogan said some voters now regret voting for Biden in 2020. Then the two launched into a criticism of the 81-year-old president’s state of mind while mocking him for a recent speech during which he said something about losing the Revolutionary War because of a lack of airports.
“If you had any other job, and you were talking like that, they would go, ‘Hey, you’re done,’” Rogan said.
Moments later, Rogan’s producer Jamie Vernon interjected to play the clip Rogan referenced, which was actually a video of Biden mocking Trump for his comments about airports in the Revolutionary War.
Biden said in the clip:
… The same “stable genius” said the biggest problem we had during the Revolutionary War is we didn’t have enough airports. WHOA…
At first Rogan and Nickal laughed at the moment, then Vernon provided some context: Biden was quoting something Trump said. Here’s the Trump clip he played, from a speech he gave in 2019:
In June of 1775, the Continental Congress created a unified Army out of the Revolutionary forces encamped around Boston and New York and named after the great George Washington, commander-in-chief. The Continental Army suffered a bitter winter of Valley Forge, found glory across the waters of the Delaware, and seized victory from Cornwallis of Yorktown. Our Army manned the airp… It ran the ramparts, it took over the airports, it did everything it had to do…
Rogan then admitted: “Oh okay. So he fucked up.”
Nickal defended Trump for misspeaking, before blaming the media: “that’s the thing about media these days, you gotta look into it.”
