Rams vs. Saints score: Live updates, game highlights, analysis for ‘Thursday Night Football’ in Week 16

Rams #Rams

The Rams looked very much like the “Greatest Show on Turf” during the first two quarters of Thursday night’s game against the Saints. Facing one of the league’s tougher defenses, the Rams piled up 244 yards in the opening half while taking a 17-7 lead at intermission.

The Rams scored first when Puka Nacua’s two-yard touchdown catch capped off a 14-play, 95-yard drive that took nearly eight minutes off the clock. Los Angeles added to its lead on a short field goal less than five minutes into the second quarter.

New Orleans got on the scoreboard when Derek Carr lofted a perfect pass to Rashid Shaheed that resulted in a 45-yard score with 2:28 left in the first half. The score came after the Rams missed a 47-yard field goal attempt.

The Rams had the last word before halftime, though. A 32-yard completion from Matt Stafford to Demarcus Robinson set up Robinson’s two-yard touchdown catch with 21 seconds left in the half.

Robinson had a big half with 82 yards on six catches. Stafford completed 16 of 22 throws for 199 yards, while his counterpart, Carr, completed just 55 percent of his passes in the first half. Carr didn’t get much help from a running game that amassed just 16 yards on nine carries.
