Mohammed Kudus first-half goals against Wolves have led many to believe West Ham have made the signing of the season.

The 23-year-old completed a £38million move to the Hammers from Ajax in the summer and has been excellent ever since.

West Ham were able to fend off fellow interest from Chelsea and Brighton for his signature, with Kudus an exciting talent to watch.

He made his eighth Premier League start of the season against Wolves on Sunday and found the back of the net in the 22nd minute.

Kudus ran onto the end of Lucas Paqueta’s forward ball and drilled his low shot for his seventh Hammers goal across all competitions.

The Ghanaian extended his tally to eight ten minutes later as he netted from another long pass from Paqueta.

West Ham’s star made history with his double too as he scored the earliest brace at the London Stadium in a Premier League match.

Fans have been left hugely impressed as a result and believe he is one of the best additions in the English top-flight this season.

Taking to X, one said: “Kudus has been the signing of the season. Unreal player.”

“Kudus pound for pound might be the signing of the season in the EPL,” added a second.

A third said: “Mohammed Kudus is a contender for signing of the season in Europe.”

“Mohamed Kudus for me is the signing of the season,” added a fourth as West Ham fans continue to revel in Kudus’ quality.

The £38m transfer is proving to be an absolute bargain and fans also joked that Erik ten Hag signed the wrong winger from Ajax.

Manchester United paid £82m for Antony in 2022 and he’s only scored four Premier League goals in the last 18 months at the club.

One wrote: “Ten Hag really got Antony instead of Kudus.”

Another added: “Erik Ten Hag’s decision to invest 90 million in Anthony, while West Ham secured Kudus for half the price, is hilarious.”

A third said: “Just remember, Ten Hag picked Antony over Kudus…”
