Fulham target Armando Broja is not likely to leave Chelsea in the January transfer window with any potential deal to be blocked, sources have told Football Insider.
Football Insider revealed on Tuesday (5 December) that Broja, 22, is one name being looked at by Craven Cottage chiefs as they look to bolster their struggling front line.
Fulham are believed to be ready to pull out of the race for Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy amid interest from Man United and Newcastle.
Marco Silva and his recruitment staff are now set to scour Europe once again as they bid to solve the club’s goalscoring problems.
Broja has not been a regular feature for Chelsea this term, making just seven appearances across all competitions and scoring one goal.
Most of those outings have been as a substitute – with the forward starting just twice.
Nevertheless, it is believed the Blues would have to sign a new striker of their own before allowing the 22-year-old to leave – and that is unlikely in the new year.
The Albania international has only recently returned from a serious knee injury which kept him out for the majority of the 2022-23 campaign.
Broja is under contract at Stamford Bridge until June 2028 after penning a new long-term deal last September.
He most successful season in England came at Southampton, where he scored nine goals in 38 appearances on loan in the 2021-22 campaign.
The forward also managed 11 goals and three assists in 34 appearances on loan at Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem.
In other news, youngster ready to sign new deal and then leave Chelsea in January.
