Seattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams is receiving backlash for mocking the wife of NFL reporter Connor Hughes, who criticized the player for his Thursday Night Football performance against the Dallas Cowboys, specifically allowing a fourth quarter touchdown by tight end Jake Ferguson.
Hughes, 27, reacted to the touchdown that gave Dallas the lead down the final stretch with a simple “yikes.” Seattle’s safety clearly took offense and went after the reporter’s family.

Adams, 28, shared a picture of Hughes and his wife smiling, and added the same caption: “yikes.”
Social media users were quick to blast Adams for picking on a beautiful woman over not liking a reporter’s tweet.
Adams is a professional athlete subject to criticism from members of the media and even though he has every right to clap back, bringing in the wife of his enemy is not a good look.
Hughes, who has yet to publicly respond to Adams, never made it personal and simply made an observation, as his job requires.
Adams is probably just hurt that he was the reason his team couldn’t beat the Cowboys despite controlling most of the match.
