NEWS. TEMPERATURES HAVE TRENDED UP FROM THIS TIME YESTERDAY MORNING. AND THAT’S THE GOOD NEWS IN OUR THURSDAY FORECAST. IT’S INSTEAD OF TEENS AND 20S, WE’RE LOOKING AT 30S FOR THE METRO SUBURBS EVEN 40S DOWNTOWN AT 43 DEGREES WHEREAS CHILLY IS 36 IN JEFFERSONVILLE, 39 IN GEORGETOWN AND FERN CREEK THIS MORNING, STILL GRABBING THE COATS AND JACKETS AS WE START OUT THIS MORNING. BUT WE MAY SHED THOSE A LITTLE MORE INTO THE AFTERNOON. NUMBERS ARE GOING TO JUMP NICELY, BUT RIGHT NOW, HOVERING AROUND THE FREEZING MARK INTO SOUTHERN INDIANA, ONE BELOW IT AND PAOLI AT 31, 32, SEYMOUR AND MADISON. SO A LITTLE CHILLIER TO THE NORTH, 40 BE ON THE MILDER SIDE IN BRANDENBURG, BUT IT’S MAINLY MIDDLE AND UPPER 30S AS YOU HEAD SOUTH, 36 RIGHT NOW IN ELIZABETHTOWN DOWN WITH PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES THROUGH MOST OF THE AFTERNOON, WE’LL REBOUND INTO THE 50S THIS ALREADY BEST YESTERDAY’S HIGH OF 53. BY MIDDAY WE’RE 54. IT’S GOING TO BE A DRY MILD 57 AT 5:00. IT’S A LITTLE EARLIER IN THE AFTERNOON. WE’LL HIT OUR HIGH OF 59 TODAY. BY 10:00 INTO THE EVENING HOURS, CLOUDS WILL BE THICKENING UP. WE’LL TURN OVERCAST BY TEN AND 49 DEGREES. SO NOT TOO CHILLY THROUGH THE EVENING, BUT WE’LL BE WATCHING FOR RAIN TO DEVELOP, ESPECIALLY AFTER MIDNIGHT AND INTO TOMORROW MORNING. BUT FUTURECAST NICE AND DRY THROUGH THE DAY. WE’LL MIX IN SOME SUNSHINE WITH SOME PASSING CLOUDS THROUGH THE AFTERNOON. HERE’S THE THICKENING CLOUD COVER DURING THE EVENING AND THEN RAIN OUT TO THE WEST STARTS TO MOVE ON IN LATE TONIGHT, ESPECIALLY AFTER MIDNIGHT AND THROUGH THE EARLY MORNING TOMORROW, WE’RE GOING TO HAVE SOME SOAKING RAIN FOR THE MORNING RUSH ON OUR FRIDAY. ONCE WE GET PAST RUSH HOUR. SO LATE MORNING AND INTO THE AFTERNOON, WE’RE GOING TO MOVE THE BULK OF THE RAIN OFF TOWARD THE EAST. BUT IT’S GOING TO BE ONE OF THOSE DAYS WHERE WE STAY STUCK IN THE CLOUDS, SOME PATCHY LIGHT RAIN AND DRIZZLE CAN’T BE RULED OUT. IT WON’T BE ANYTHING HEAVY, BUT A FEW RAINDROPS STILL A POSSIBILITY. A LITTLE LATER IN THE DAY ON OUR FRIDAY, BY FRIDAY NIGHT, WE’RE GOING TO BE MOVING ALL OF THIS OUT OF HERE AND WE’RE GOING TO PAVE THE WAY FOR WHAT LOOKS TO BE A NICE WEEKEND AHEAD. AND NOTICE, HIGH TEMPERATURES NOT BUDGING MUCH THE NEXT 3 OR 4 AFTERNOONS. EVEN WITH THE RAIN TOMORROW, WE’RE GOING TO HOLD IN THE UPPER 50S. BUT SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, 58 AND 57, THERE. OVERNIGHT LOWS, NOT TOO CHILLY AT ALL, 40S AND 50S. BUT BY NEXT WEEK A COUPLE OF SHOWER OPPORTUNITIES, NOTHING HEAVY. BUT MONDAY AND TUESDAY WE’LL HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF WET WEATHER AND THEN THE NUMBERS GET

Dry and mild Thursday, rain returns overnight
