Bears, Vikings player props: How to bet on Justin Fields, Joshua Dobbs player prop oddsJustin Fields player prop odds: Over 25.5 pass attempts (-130 or better)

The Vikings have become increasingly difficult to run against as they’ve acclimated to coordinator Brian Flores’ scheme, now allowing an NFL-low 60 rushing yards per home game at an absurdly low 2.8 yards per carry.

That elite level of defense has unsurprisingly led to the second-highest pass-play rate (65.8%) of any team on its home field. Matters should be no different Monday night when it comes to the Bears, especially considering Chicago already comes in one man down in the backfield with power back D’Onta Foreman ruled out due to an ankle injury.

Factoring in that the Vikings offense can put up some points with Joshua Dobbs under center – even while likely still missing Justin Jefferson (hamstring) – and the Bears should operate with a game plan that inevitably tilts toward the pass.

This number isn’t an inordinately high one to eclipse, and Fields has already gone over it in four of his six non-injury-shortened games.

Joshua Dobbs player props odds: Over 21.5 completions (-125 or better)

The Bears are no picnic to run against either, and although they’ve been a bit more giving in that aspect on the road, they still boast one of the league’s better defenses against opposing ground attacks.

Chicago is going into the night surrendering the fewest rushing yards per game (79.5), although that number creeps up to 93 when split out for away games.

Nevertheless, the Bears surrender just 3.4 yards per carry to running backs and are facing the league’s sixth-highest pass-play rate (61.8%).

Consequently, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Dobbs also dropping back his fair share Monday night, especially since Minnesota’s running game isn’t typically very efficient. Like Fields, Dobbs will take off and run his fair share, but the Bears have done an excellent job preventing QB rushing production (45 carries for 160 yards surrendered).

What they haven’t been effective at, especially on the road, has been preventing completions. The Bears are giving up the third-highest road completion rate (72.96%) and concede an NFC-high 28.3 completions per road contest.

Accuracy isn’t necessarily a hallmark of Dobbs’ game, but he has had an acceptable 65.6 percent completion rate since arriving in Minnesota. He’s also recorded over 21.5 completions three times this season and has fallen just short on three other occasions, recording 21.

Vikings player props: Jordan Addison Over 3.5 receptions (-115 or better)

Following the logic that Dobbs should put up the ball plenty and connect at an above-average rate with his pass catchers, we’ll back the idea of Addison being the recipient of at least four passes.

Weekend reports indicate Jefferson is unlikely to suit up for tonight’s game as he and the team try to get his hamstring back to full health. Consequently, Addison should be in for another game with at least 5-7 targets, as he’s seen in his three games with Dobbs thus far. The rookie wideout has 12 catches on 20 targets in that span, going over this prop in two of them.

For the season, Addison has at least four receptions in seven of 11 games, and he should have a chance to eclipse this number based on the overall passing volume the Vikes should carry Monday night.
