Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and social media star Logan Paul announced Sunday that they will fight each other in an exhibition bout scheduled for Feb. 20.

The Athletic reports the bout, which will be available on pay-per-view via Fanmio (starting at $24.99 per the announcement page), “has been in the works for a while.” The two have spent recent weeks exchanging barbs via social media.

Paul, 25, has twice fought fellow YouTube creator “KSI,” one bout being an official fight. His younger brother, Jake Paul, recently made headlines by knocking out former NBA player Nate Robinson in the co-feature bout on the recent Mike Tyson-Roy Jones Jr. card.

Mayweather, 43, is 50-0 in his professional boxing career. His last official bout was in “The Money Fight” vs. former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor in August 2017. He did take part in an exhibition in Japan in December 2018.

With Paul, who turned his popularity on the app Vine into an extensive following on YouTube and Instagram (he has 22.6 million YouTube subscribers and 18.6 million Instagram followers) and Mayweather, himself a master marketer with a legion of fans (24.2 million Instagram followers), this exhibition bout is sure to draw some eyeballs.
