Joe Burrow injures wrist in Bengals-Ravens; Return questionable

Ravens #Ravens

The Bengals were quick to delete a video of Joe Burrow walking into M&T Bank Stadium ahead of the Bengals-Ravens “Thursday Night Football” game with what looked like a brace on his right wrist.

And maybe there was something to it, after all. The quarterback immediately grabbed his wrist after throwing a touchdown in the second quarter. Burrow was never hit on the play, but he was in obvious pain as he walked off the field and into the blue medical tent.

After being evaluated, Burrow made his way to the locker room before the Bengals announced he was questionable to return with a wrist injury.

Burrow never appeared on the injury report this week, and there hasn’t been any buzz about a wrist ailment. Amazon Prime cameras caught the QB unable to grip the ball on the sideline and his frustration was evident.

This season hasn’t been kind to Burrow in terms of injuries.

The Bengals were without Burrow for most of training camp as well as the preseason after he strained his calf in the summer. While he didn’t miss any time in the regular season, he hasn’t been the same and struggled to find a groove in Cincinnati’s first few games. Burrow threw two interceptions in Week 10 and has six on the season.

In Week 2, also against the Ravens, Burrow re-aggravated the calf injury.

The extent of Burrow’s injury is unknown, but it certainly wouldn’t be ideal to be without him for any amount of time — especially as the Bengals try to make a push for the playoffs.
