The telly veterans stepped out for dinner after being reunited and both had beaming smiles on their faces.

The Geordie duo wore matching shades and poppies for Armistice Day. Dec opted for a short-sleeve black shirt, while Ant went for a similar plaid style.

Jockey Frankie Dettori was the first campmate to arrive in Oz, jetting in early to attend the Melbourne Cup horse racing event.

Days later, former UKIP leader Nigel Farage and YouTube star Nella Rose touched down in Australia.

More of the cast members are expected in the next 24 hours ahead of the show’s launch on Sunday.

As he made his way through arrivals last night, a relaxed Ant told us he was raring to go.

Grinning, he said: “I’m really excited. It’s a great cast.

“It’ll be nice to be reunited with Dec, he’s been on his holidays. It’ll be nice to see Dec’s white lines and tan marks!

“We will run towards each on the beach with open arms.”

When quizzed about Nigel Farage’s controversial signing, Ant gave an answer worthy of a politician.

He said: “A political figure in the cast last year was great so this year’s series, it’s very strong, really strong.”

Last year’s political figure was Matt Hancock, who received fierce criticism for entering the jungle due to his disastrous handling of the coronavirus pandemic as Health Secretary.

In addition, he was an active MP at the time and viewers felts he was leaving his constituents out to dry.

He wasn’t the first politician to have a go at the show though. Former Tory Nadine Dorries and Liberal Democrat Lembit Opik both featured before him.
