National reaction to Cowboys-Eagles: Trevon Diggs, Dez Bryant criticize officiating

Cowboys #Cowboys

Officiating was a major talking point during the Cowboys’ 28-23 loss to the Eagles on Sunday.

Each team was called for 10 penalties in the game. The Cowboys’ penalties accounted for 83 yards while the Eagles’ accounted for 98 yards.

Dallas also left potentially nine points on the board after a pair of replay reviews in the fourth quarter.

Dak Prescott completed what would have been a touchdown pass to rookie tight end Luke Schoonmaker, but the replay showed the ball crossed the plane after Schoonmaker was already down.

On an ensuing touchdown drive, a two-point conversion run by Prescott was called back after the replay showed he stepped out of bounds before crossing into the end zone.

From officiating to Prescott’s play, here’s some reaction to the loss:

The better team did not win that game

That’s crazy

Cowboys were simply unable to beat both the refs and the Eagles today

Two great opponents was too much to overcome

You can’t blame this one on Dak Prescott.

Before y’all start the Cap!! Dak was not the reason the cowboys lost he was the reason they had a chance to win it. Not popular or cliche but true

Eagles are brotherly shoving the Cowboys offense toward the end zone.

Cowboys had the ball first and goal with :27 seconds left down 5. Would have bet my life on them getting it in with 4 shots at the end zone. Did not factor in the final play would be from the 27 yard line…

The refs need to chill with all these flags. This is a hell of a game between two really good teams. Let the men play ball! #Cowboys #Eagles

I know this is not popular but those calls evened out. Refs put you in position to win that game. You had trouble blocking their front when you needed to and game management wasn’t great. You move on. https://t.co/pKpoC6EHxM

I don’t do Twitter fights but I would respectfully disagree. Ball was actually at the one and I would make the same decision McCarthy did 100 out of 100 times. https://t.co/VA9rcDhMn4

It was just Philly’s day. Got every break on 3 fumbles and 3 huge calls. But Dallas proved it’s the better team.
