Bills called for roughing the passer on Joe Burrow and NFL players think it is awful
Bills #Bills
The Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals defenses struggled to start their Sunday Night Football game. And that was before an outrageous roughing the passer penalty.
Cincinnati marched 75 yards in nine plays to start the game, and Buffalo responded with a seven-play, 85-yard touchdown drive.
On the ensuing play from scrimmage, Bills defensive tackle Tim Settle was flagged for roughing the passer as he hit Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow.
Settle is playing for DaQuan Jones, who is out for the season with a pectoral injury. Jones couldn’t believe the call and immediately sent an expletive-filled tweet. Three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt was also incredulous.
What do you want defensive linemen to do?!
Someone please tell me.
Roughing the passer penalties are out of control.
